Pack 13,Cub Scouts

Hi, Pack 13 of Staten Island is looking for interested youth from first grade on to come and join in the fun! We are located in Woodrow United Methodist Churchs' Hall on Woodrow Rd. in Huguenot in Staten Island.

Tiger Cubs BSA is for boys in the first grade and their adult partner (preferably a family member over 21). The boys work through the achievements in the Tiger Handbook with their parents assistance. At the Monthly Pack Night awards are given to show completed achievements.

The Wolf and Bear programs of the Cub Scouts are for boys in the second and third grades. The Cubs are organized into dens of 4-8 boys and are part of the Pack. Weekly den meetings consist of games, crafts, and learning sessions. Cubs work toward accomplishing achievements and electives outlined in their Cub Scout handbook. They are rewarded with beads, badges and arrow point awards for their work. Activities include day trips, service projects, summer camping opportunities and monthly Pack Award Nights.

The Webelos program of the Cub Scouts is for boys in the fourth and fifth grades. Webelos are organized into dens and are part of the Pack.The fourth graders are Jr. Webelos and the fifth grade boys are Sr. Webelos. During weekly den meetings they pursue activity badges for achievements in the outdoors, technology, sports/fitness, community and hobbies. Cubs work toward accomplishing achievements and electives outlined in their Webelos Scout handbook. They are rewarded with emblems for their work which are worn on their hats. The Webelos program and activities are geared to prepare these older boys to be Boy Scouts.The Sr. webelos cross over to Boy Scouts around the end of March, we hate to see them go but we know the road of Scouting will take them onward to good times and experiences.
